2013 will see the launch of our Choir Division which will cover a whole array of fun and exciting performance related courses across the whole of the UK. Just now we have Edinburgh Popular Music Choir, Glasgow Popular Music Choir & Newcastle Popular Music Choir.

 

Teaching our classes, will be a team of industry experts who will aim to give you the very best & most enjoyable experience, whilst covering the required skills to catapult you onto singing as part of our choir.

 

Some people will come to learn new skills as beginners, some will come just for fun, some will come to improve their confidence, but most of all, there will be people who will come along to experience a great time with like minded people who have a passion for singing.

The Edinburgh Popular Music Choir (EPMC) is a fresh new choir based in the Morningside area of the Capital. Our main difference from many other choirs, is that we concentrate mainly on popular music. From Queen to Lady Gaga, Oasis to The Who, Coldplay to The Carpenters. We are dynamic, fresh, modern, upbeat and fun! Performances take place all year round at some amazing events.

Part of the fun with being in the EPMC is that you will meet so many like minded people who love singing. Don't worry if you are new to singing, our choir leaders are also experienced vocal coaches who will keep you right. The goal of the ten week session is to work towards making a CD which you can then give to your friends or family.

Afterwards, their will be the opportunity to perform at events.

 

 

 

Do I have to be able to read sheet music?

Not at all, our fun and friendly staff will keep you right, there will be many other people who can't read music. The choir will operate through ear training.

 

I have never sung in public before....

Don't worry, there will be many other people just starting out too. We will help you overcome any nerves or stage fright, you won't be asked to sing by yourself.

 

Is the choir aimed at younger people?

The choir is aimed at everyone and anyone who wishes to come along, have fun and meet some new people. We have a youth choir for people under 16, but the adult choir has people from all age groups and there is a steady split of men and woman.

 

I'm nervous that I won't know anyone...

Don't worry about that, everyone is extremely fun and friendly and we will make sure that you make lots of new friends. There are fantastic social events for our members such as restaurant nights out, concerts, shows and much more. We are strong supporters of many charities and there is always plenty events to become involved in to raise money for a good cause.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: The Edinburgh choir is run in 4 blocks of 10 sessions per year. The percentage of people who stay on from the previous block is very high, So places are very limited.
